The REM4ed Online Command™ program is the heart of our system. It is a web based planning and tracking tool that enables school districts to create and maintain all aspects of their emergency management plans.
Planning
Crisis teams are engaged by the planning tool to create new comprehensive crisis plans either from scratch or input existing plans. Through a process that involves an all hazards approach to the four phases, the finished product is a new or improved plan that incorporates the Incident Command System (ICS) and complies to the Department of Homeland Security's National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) guidelines.
In addition to storing roles and activities by phase, the tool also stores critical information such as inventory, training schedules, personnel certifications, maps, and floorplans. Critical information such as evacuation routes, assembly points, emergency equipment locations and emergency shut off locations are all documented online, on paper and available to you and your partners.
Maintenance
Personnel training and drills are tracked by the Online Command™ program. This enables school administrators to keep appropriate personnel trained and to keep everyone practiced and prepared for any possible emergency.
Once these plans are in place, they are kept in our Online Command™ program and easily accessed at any time by school crisis teams, district administrators, first responder partners or anyone that would need access to the schools' Crisis Plans. Having this information easily accessible offers significantly improved coordination and communication among education, local government, law enforcement and other first responders.
